Favorite Hog Pictures
Not a lot of time, but Hog Week must continue! If you want a serious and thoughtful post, please read the two previous ones. Today, I would just like to share with you some of my favorite hog pictures.

A book I am reading. Well, o.k., i'm reading some of the chapters. Funny sometimes. Raunchy at others. Carlin thinks he is pretty smart, and besmirches my faith quite a bit. But I'm a big guy, and he is hilarious at times.
...............
This is "Hogzilla", a huge wild hog shot in south Georgia. These things roam the woods of my part of the country. I actually had a church member who kept one of these within a fence on his property, and fed it leftovers. He intended to eat it, but it became a family pet. "Juniper" was her name. The hog, that is.
................
I think I saw this lady in the winter olympics, yesterday?
.................
Ah, Democrats sucking off the federal government.
..................
Perhaps a beautiful piece of jewelry for your wife or girlfriend?
.................
.................
Any thoughts?

Having Falwell's pic in this post bring joy to my heart... and i'm very proud of you for reading Carlin's book. Of course he zings at religion, and the Christian God, but his reasoning is sound in some respects. He's a "well geez, look what harm it's done" kind of guy... that's his job, but it's funny, he did a conversation with Jesus some years ago, that was close to spot on as far as I was concerned... How disapointed Jesus was with what was (is) done in his name. He's a thinker though, you've got to give him that.
Cool post.

George Carlin has been around for a long time. I remember when he had that ponytail, and was using dirty words way before it was cool to do so. I'm not one to throw out a book because of a bad chapter or insulting idea, neither will I throw out Carlin because of some offensive words. He is funny. Some of the chapters in this book I have to say, "Way to go. That's right."
Now you guys keep referring to some picture of alwell. What are you talking about? I'd never insult this great icon of the Baptist church.

Happy hogs? I'd say the piglets are happy. The wild hog is indeed unhappy. Sorry about the disappointment. Maybe we could make this up to you. Enter, and you could win your own Grow-Your-Own-Hog. That would put a smile on your face.

Pigs in space. You know, I seek to be cosmopolitan in my investigation of life, but somehow I have been shortchanged. I have never even considered the reality and ramifications of pigs in space. I admit to being backwards and uneducated, especially concerning pigs. To catch up, I will do a google of pigs in space and seek to read and learn. Thank you! Thank you!

Several have commented regarding the distasteful nature of that picture, along with another pig picture in the mix. I guess just take for granted the purpose of hogs in our world, since millions a slaughtered weekly to provide breakfast for the American palate. But, interestingly, Hogzilla was not slaughtered and eaten. After being displayed for several weeks, he was buried in a marked grave, complete with tombstone. Later, for verification purposes, he had to be dug up. The story is in National Geographic.
But, if you will promise to come again, I will promise to not make a habit of showing a dead carcass on my blog. Deal?
