Shameless Self-Promo Of My Granddaughter

SKYLAR HOPE, world's greatest granddaughter, age 3 weeks and 5 days.
My favorite time right now, in all the world, is right after she has been fed and changed. She is satisfied, and just wants to be held. When I hold her tight and she squeezes so very close, it just seems to me there can be nothing better in all the world. Just go away and leave us alone!
I just cannot help but admire such a great addition to my life. You will notice that she is busy taking in this big and mysterious world. She's going to be fine- gonna have a lot of help.

She does love her grandpa. She will lay and cry, and some will say "Don't pick her up or you are going to spoil her!"; what do I do? I pick her up, of course. That baby is not going to cry as long as I'm around. Unless, of course, unless March Madness is on TV.

Interesting you should say that...I have been watching her, and I believe she can count! She looks at her fingers, and then her toes....individually, and it appears to me she is clearly mouthing the numbers. I could be wrong, but I don't believe so.

The chair upon which she is enthroned is my easy chair. I have always insisted that no one else is to sit in it- it is my respite after a busy day. Now, look who has taken over. The queen indeed.

"Claiming it to be an optical illusion caused by the perspective of the camera lense, Dave denies his beautiful Granddaughter's feet are really as big as her head. As for the missing pin identifying her as "Granddaughter" the pastor complained that wearing it might create a hazrd for the baby girl, and so he'd opted to put it away for a few years. Plus, he swore he'd recognize the baby anywhere and carried a cell-phone as protection in case anyone tried to stop him from entering any place he (or she) chose."
