i m an athiest in a way, to say i don't pray, because i believe if u don't hurt anybody, u r not doing anything unethical, sometime u can't do a thing thts not under ur control
but reading the description of god given to me i believe tht u don't need pray to god, u just have to follow his sayings
but thts totally different in this world today it like this
we won't follow anything god said, but yes we want u to do wht we say in the name of god,
i have lot say abt it but i wld sound really rude thn

If God is self-sufficient, which is a basic of Judeo-Christian theology, then He needs nothing. In that context, our thanks is the greatest communication we can give to Him.

You haven't hurt or offended anyone on this blog. I'll admit your shorthand manner of writing is difficult to follow. I think you've said you don't see the need to pray- just lead a good life. That would probably be true if God is impersonal. But, what if God is a person who knows and loves you intimately, and is deeply involved in your life? Then, personal communication with this deity makes sense. And such is God as I understand Him.

even if he love me intimily it is unconditional, it is not condition bond, if it is than he can't be god, then is more of a mutual relationship you rub my back and i will do same, no it is not god, according to me stop making things these complex it is simple it was always simple, just simply apply what he said, never say lie, never hurt anyone and u did wht is said as prayer to god. According to me people who feel they have done sins, or have greed, or necessity they only do all this praying thing because they can't answer whn he wld ask the question abt his sin,
if god existed though, i don't know whether he existed or not, but if his then he would be ashamed of himself to create such creation who not only destroying themself in name of god but inturn destroying his most beautiful creation the nature, he would be in lot of pain, if hope he is nonexistant, he could bare to see all this crime and hearing all these crying, he can't.
he just can't,
i wld rather say i wld do wht i feel right but never bow to him even if he exists, if he exist and asks y did i never bow to him, becoz he nevr gave me reasons to, he only shown tears, massacares in his name to show me no life, no happiness, nothin just groups and groups who end up fightin within

By "unconditional" I mean there is nothing you can do that will make God love you more or love you less. It seems you have interpreted it to mean "impersonally"- certainly not my understanding of God.
I agree there is much evil in our world. But, in my understanding, evil is not a creation of God. It is a byproduct of humans being creatures of choice. We can choose to follow and reflect God with our lives, or we can choose the opposite. The opposite produces evil.

Thats wht i meant, you cannot make him love u more or less, by praying to him u cannot to prove that ur his obedient follower, not doing so doesn't make u evil either,
for evil wht i mean't even if it is our byproduct, if god existed does'nt he feel anything for it, ohh may he himself is doing so to destroy us may be,
that his way of saying enough is enough
