Her Family Has Yet To Call To Say Thanks

I went to a good bit of trouble to take a little-ole-lady out for lunch.  She had been confined to her home for several weeks, and I simply felt she needed some pampering and to look at something other than the four walls of her house.  It all involved a bit of trouble, but we had a good time and a big meal.

Now, I find out today she is in the Intensive Care Unit of the local hospital with severe complications from diabetes, as her blood sugar shot way up the next day and she passed out.  Way to go, PastorDave.

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions."

The upside? I don't think they can get you for first degree. Manslaughter as worst.

Sweet lady says, "Who knew assault with a deadly weapon could involve a cupcake? -Next time? Complete medical history and signed consent forms."

Drop the lasagna and step away with your hands behind your head. Keep them where I can see them. Do you have a license to carry that lasagna?
Seriously though, I hope everything ends up okay.

Ahem- when they told you that your job is to help people meet the Lord, I don't think this is what they meant. ;)

Hope she improves quickly!

I am sure she was delighted to get out for a bit, even given the consequences. How could anyone ever know this would happen ~ you improved her day, I am sure.

At least she wasn't subjected to something you cooked yourself.

No guilt trips!!! She got to order what she wanted...& had a great outing!!! She knew she had diabetes, so if she chose to eat something she shouldn't have, I doubt you could have talked her out of it anyway!! Now if she should croak and meet the Lord, she will die happy, having got to go out, see some fresh scenery, and got a good meal out of the deal!!! You are not responsible for what she chose not to tell you!!
